Marlings Vineyard, entering our 31st year and pruning commences……

With the days getting longer and Spring hopefully just around the corner, we’re busy around the vineyard with the annual pruning of our vines. It’s one of the most important jobs in the vineyard year and sets us up for the growing season ahead. Every vine is pruned individually and we remove most of last year’s growth to give them the best possible chance to produce a fine crop of grapes for our wines. Fingers crossed, the spring and summer weather will be kind to them too!

Our wines from last year’s harvest (2021), are maturing very well in tanks and already show a good deal of promise. The quality of the grapes was very good, and we’re looking forward to bottling these wines later in the year.

We have two new wines available now in local stores and in our online shop. Our latest award-winning Marlings Sparkling Rosé from the 2018 vintage is now available and we feel it is one of our best yet!

Our new Polite White still wine, produced from a blend of Bacchus, Chardonnay and Reichensteiner grapes, has just been released and is the perfect complement to light meats, seafood, vegetarian dishes or simply to enjoy on its own. And, as the days warm up, enjoy a glass of our Ravishing Rosé still rosé over lunch or supper.

We continue to offer free local delivery within a 5 mile radius of the vineyard, input code ‘LD5’ when checking out in our online shop.
