We are passionate about maintaining & growing our local supply chain, here in the New Forest.
As a result, we are supporting many small non intensive farms, that specialise in grass fed native breeds, and are run by families that care about animal welfare and the environment. We believe it is very important that these small scale farms survive in the New Forest, as they have done for centuries, to maintain the diversity of the local economy, and of course cut down food miles.
The promotion of Pannage Pork & New Forest Venison not only helps the local economy but also preserves ancient traditions and conserves The New Forest.
Farming on a small scale is expensive, so we are prepared to pay premium prices to our local farmers for New Forest produce, and in addition help towards transport costs to the nearest abattoir.
By joining New Forest Marque finding networking with local farmers and producers has proved much simpler, and has meant that our local supply chain is continually expanding.
